Hosted by a Sky of Many Blues

Today has been a day of clear skies, bright sunshine, and a cold sea dip. After another full day of visitors and tidying up, my energy finally gave way. I collapsed onto the sofa, too weary to move, and exhaled. What a relief the soft cushions offered as I stared out of the window.
And what a gift it was to sit with the sky — slipping through its many blues into the inky shades of night. An extravagant host, inviting me simply to bask in its beauty and pause at this threshold between years.
In the quiet, I felt invited to notice the fullness of the week just lived: the people we’ve seen, the food prepared and shared, the presents exchanged, the steps walked, the games played, the conversations held. How marvellous. How fortunate to enter January so full. What a blessing.
Beautiful creation and tranquil silence — you have restored me once again. You’ve shifted me from weary and overstretched to lightened, grateful, and awake to blessing.
As we enter this new month with all that we are, may you be encouraged to take your own moments of pause. Allow yourself simply to be. Put down your to‑do lists, your phone, your shoulds and oughts. Let yourself be hosted by this world that simply is. Let it speak to you through its silence or its song and watch with wonder as something in you softens and transforms.
As we step into a New Year, I hope this blog continues to feel like a soft place to land — where the world slows, and your spirit can catch up. And if your heart whispers for deeper stillness, for the kind of listening that helps you feel more fully yourself, may you find the grace of being held — in silence, in creation, or in the quiet, sacred art of spiritual accompaniment.
All the best,
Naomi
